I'd hoped you might post one or two of your altered book pages Julie, it was quite a marathon wasn't it? I do like the idea of doing it again but don't know if I could stay the course!

i can see that your project yourself and `Christine's is even more outside the box than our themed and pass along one. I do like Mr Seagull all at sea.

I do like this, Julie - you and Christine are the "queens of Collage". What exactly is the altered book project? (Briefly)

Thank you all for your kind comments. Briefly Marjorie - six artists each chose an old book in which to work - using either the title of the book as a theme, or a theme that they chose to work to. The books acted like sketchbooks and were passed around the group such that each artist did some of their own art work in every book. At the end of the year each book finally returned to its originator. Each of the artists then had a lovely record of their own work in a book as well as that of the five other artists - something lovely to treasure. Hope that is brief and concise enough.
