Thanks Andrew, most definitely all my own work. I know the rise of AI is unstoppable but I would never use it. if I was still a graphic designer as I was for 40 years then I would be getting very concerned. As it was I originally trained as a pro photographer then my clients said their smart phone pics were good enough for their catalogue images. It is getting tough out there, glad to be retired 2 years now. Having fun with Procreate and an Apple Pencil as well as revisiting oils and acrylics

I am a big Kate Bush fan. However, this image looks strangely digital and unreal - especially the eyes, mouth and hair. Personally, I prefer traditional paints such as oils. The website is called 'painters online'. I would question whether paint or brushes have been used to create this image. I guess so called traditional 'art' is going through a similar transition to photography since digital came along.

Not sure what you mean by the same AI software Brian? I used Procreate on an ipad to create this one. Sorry if you don’t like it. I was just having a go to see what it could do. I can’t say it really has any AI side to it. Each stroke was manually done by me. I don’t just scan an image and press a button to generate an image in any style. Well that program is great but it doesn’t have that feature and I wouldn’t use it if it did. I have started using oils this year which is starting to be fun to use but will continue to also use that app as well.

I understand your response Jon. My own feelings are that art requires skill and human emotion - otherwise what is the point? Nothing can compare a good artist with a simpe brush and canvas with software from money making conglomerates such as Microsoft, Apple or Adobe. Any fool can use software and click on photoshop filters. A true artist can create a masterpiece with just pencil and paper.
