I love an industrial scene and am a fan of monochrome work so this appeals to me. I particularly like the shape of the fence

Lovely tonal value and painting John

I like this a lot John - like the sepia.

Excellent, great figure.

Superb, I really like the tones and shapes in your painting.

West Hartlepool steelworks now grass and light industry. Tony Handcock referred to it as ' British West Hartlepool ' a far flung colony of the British Empire. The painting is more Norman Cornish than Lowry with the figure walking into the painting. I remember this view when we visited Seaton Carew as a young boy in the sixties.

Very good John. I love these Grimshaw -esque monochrome artworks.
