Makes me smile too John

Thanks Heather! I’m happy to help 😊😊😊

Love the doorways and chimney pots John and the typicality of the scene.

Many thanks Carole, I’m very glad you like it 😊

Well painted as always John.

Chris, you’re a gentleman 😊

Good one John ☺️

Much obliged Stephen 🙏🏼

Really good John, I like the roughness of that road surface.

Thanks Andrew! My dog especially loves those muddy puddles 😜

you have managed to make the mundane look really interesting.

Thank you William, it’s a really pretty little street in my humble opinion 😊

Devilish bit of perspective to contend with there... I can see where a bit of touching-up might be called for, but am sure you won't over-work it. (I would!)

Thanks for the comment Robert, for me it’s the perspective that makes this interesting. When the right side dries I’ll be adding a few choice brush strokes and then walking away 😜😜

It’s the simplicity which makes this look so really. Lots to enjoy.

Spencer and Elaine, I’m so grateful for your lovely comments 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Much obliged Dixie 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Love it, and it's so rare that people photograph or paint 'ordinary' streets, which is a shame as they're a great historical record.

Thanks Kylia! I think there are plenty of beautiful things around us to paint… literally on our doorsteps!! Merry Christmas 🎄

A 30 x 30cm oil study of a street in an English village. I might touch some bits up when it’s dry but for now it makes me smile 😊
