This is really nice Joanne. Love the feel of light, very nicely done indeed

What a great sky and a lovely open feel to this picture. Yes, I like this. Regards John

Awonderfull painting, sky is brilliantly done, every thing sits nicely,I love it

Thanks Ruth and Roland, so glad you like this work. Anglesey is one of my favourite painting destinations, I go once a year with my students to paint, there are so many inspirational scenes that we are spoilt for choice. I am looking forward to our next visit in June.

Hi, This is a lovely painting. I love the sky and the detail in the middle distance but can't help feeling the composition would be improved by moving the two boats slightly back into the picture ie to the left. Am I completely wrong on this? As compositon is a really difficult factor I would be pleased to be corrected and hear other opinions.

I agree it is a beautiful composition very colourful too...I too understand what Judith says...the nearest boat is going out of the picture...the view point needs to move a tad to the right (boats to the left)...but I like it very much.

"Joanne - are you running any Courses on Anglesey in 2016 ?"

Anglesey North Wales is one of my favourite locations to paint. This painting combines watercolour washes and Derwent Graphitint Pencils.
