Oh my gosh I am overwhelmed at all of your quick and kind responses. I was worried that the upload doesnt do the painting justice and looks a little flat compared to the original. This is a view of Staithes that I have been meaning to paint for a while but have never felt the right moment until now. I am due to return to Staithes in May for a few days and just know that I will find another inspirational scene to paint, there are so many. Once again thanks so much. We stay in staithes three times a year. This is a lovely watercolour, recognised the spot immediately. Very evocative.
