Super painting Jenny, I like the pink!

Thanks Margaret. (I also tried some new Daniel Smith iridescent paint on several of the butterflies, but it doesn't show in this photo, they just look a bit mucky!)

I like the combination of beautifully smooth washes with the textured wet in wet ones Does the iridescent paint look shiny on the paper?.

Hi Diana, thanks for commenting. Yes, the iridescent paint looks shiny, almost metallic, on the paper, although it's quite subtle. To be honest, it looks a bit out of place alongside normal watercolour, but I'd bought several tubes because they looked pretty and thought I'd better try them!

Many thanks, Sylvia and Linda. (I'm conscious that my paintings often look overly bright compared with a lot of the more subtle landscapes etc. posted, but I do like using pink, it's a cheerful colour.)
