I love sheep Jenny, so drawable :). I like this especially like the trees at top, light against dark and dark against light.

Lovely sheep Jenny, I always enjoy seeing any printing method so keep it going.

Thanks very much Carole, John (wondered where you'd got to!) and Alan. Yes, I've got quite fond of drawing sheep, and was also getting rather hooked on linocutting to the extent that I found I was using it as an excuse not to get started on my painting again, so have put it to one side for now!

This is so much better than my attempts Jenny! Like you I used linocutting as an excuse not to get my paints out but I hope to do more as I really like it as an art form.

Like the simplicity of these Jenny. Yes they will make great cards .

Now I'm envious Jenny....you've done a reduction print! I don't know how to do that yet, I do in theory but not in practice. Well done on a complete success!

Many thanks Christine and Sylvia. (Christine, I loved your sheep linocuts, they had a real charm to them - and like you, I really like linocuts as an art form and will definitely do some more - need to get some more soft cut lino, though, as I only bought a little to try out and don't think I'd want to go back to the traditional blocks now.)

Thanks Fiona, but I'm afraid I cheated on the colour! - I used my Neocolour II wax water soluble pastels to add the colour afterwards. I've looked at quite a few on-line videos recently of linocutting and the reduction method seems horribly complicated and means you have to do all your print runs in one go as once you've made further cuts you can't go back. I think I prefer to keep mine intact so I can do more runs later, especially if I use them to make cards. I'd be interested to know how you get on with reduction printing if you try it!

Not cheating Jenny...sounds like a good idea to me. I've used watercolour on a Lino print before and that looks okay if you don't over do it. Like you, l would prefer to keep the image intact.

Anything featuring sheep gets my vote! I really like the designs you create and their powerful simplicity. I love to see print making work as I admire the distinctive look

Thanks Diana! (I had wondered if this might be a bit too simple, but it seems simplicity works in print making.)

Sorry, more sheep, but thought I might as well add this, my last linocut from last year - based on a previous one but reworked into a landscape format. Thought I might make a few cards out of my linocuts for our next club exhibition.
