West Shore, Pittenweem, in morning sun
At the other end of Pittenweem to yesterday's harbour post, this is another plein air painting done early one summer morning when the tide was out. A beautifully picturesque old fishing village, Pittenweem also hosts an an annual art festival, which totally fills the place and attracts huge numbers of visitors from around East Scotland. I look forward to painting this scene again, but with tide in, when there is often a brilliant reflection of the 'house on the rock' seen here.
