Thank you all for your lovely comments, as i've said before, it really does make me want to carry on even though I some times become bereft of ideas for subject matter. Old age does not help even though I happen to live in such a beautiful part of the country, THIS PAINTING WAS DONE IN 2008.

The beautiful village of Rothbury in the heart of Northumberland on the banks of the river Coquet. On the outskirts, is the beautiful estate of Cragside and over the river are the heather clad Simmonside Hills.
