Silly sketch? It certainly made me smile.

I think this is quite haunting and abit melancholy. It has to do with your shading. The light seems to cast a certain kind of shadow just behind the dog which creates this slightly haunting almost foreboding atmosphere. It is anything but silly as someone else remarked.

Thank you for all your lovely comments. I’m delighted you picked up on the melancholy Michael. My partner is away for a few weeks, I did this sketch for him to show him I missed him.
