New growth emerges from an ancient ash tree felled by a storm and hollowed by lightning. Inspired by and based on a rural scene near Whitton, Northumberland. Graphite (Derwent XL) and graphite/charcoal pencils (Mars Lumograph Black) on drawing paper (Strathmore).
