Where the River Flows by Jacky Radbone

Flowing at quite a lick, too. I see you've posted three times, which I suspect means you've fallen victim to the site's remaining serious glitch - you think your work isn't being posted, when in fact it has been. Ignore the buffering about, ahem - just open the site in another tab, and and you'll find your picture is up there all the time; you probably knew that by now, but it's worth saying it for those who keep getting caught out. POL really needs to sort this.

And PS - It's good to see work in gouache every now and then; it's a much neglected medium, but a rewarding one.

Really lovely Jacky with great movement. Robert is of course right, and it’s very easy to remove duplicates (even ? Triplicates) by going into your account details, there is an option to delete items.

PS I also like gouache, and you’ve made me think of getting mine out again!

Love the movement in the river .

Extremely good and Robert is right too.

Thank you so much Robert, Tessa, Paul and Heather, for your kind comments, and especially on how to remove the duplicates posts. I did indeed think the first two times I tried, that posting the picture hadn’t happened but couldn’t work out how to remove them when I saw them in the gallery. Thanks to your advice, I’ve managed to put it right now. Thank you 😊

This is delightful Jacky.

Nicely done Jacky.

Really like this! Full of energy

Great work Jackie. You’ve really captured the movement of the water.

Very nice work Jacky, the water really looks like it’s flowing here.

I love this. It is so dynamic and fresh. The foliage and foreground seem to follow the movement of the river. Gouache was the right choice for this, I am not sure that oil paint could have allowed a dynamic painting to retain its calmness. Well done Jackie and thank you for sharing.

Just love the movement in the water!!!

A small gouache study, using up an odd piece of Mount board I found in my paper drawer
