I painted this en plein air while enjoying watching the tide coming in at Newton Bay in South Wales. It was a busy spot to paint with lots of holidaymakers coming up to chat, and at one point I was surrounded by a classfull of primary school children all wanting to ask questions about painting. I was so impressed with their politeness, I’m sure their teacher was very proud of them. It made for a fun painting session!
