Endless Shores

Just lovely, Jacky! feels as if I could walk beside you down that beach!

A lovely painting full of distance and atmosphere. I do feel it needs a variation in tone to set it off though.

Thanks for your feedback Nick. This isn't a great photo so doesn't show the painting in its best light (there is slightly more of a variation in tone in the painting itself than shows here, with the distant sand being much lighter than that in the foreground). I was aiming for a high key painting for this particular subject, and managed to get the luminosity I was aiming for in the actual painting - which unfortunately hasn't come across in the rather dark photograph x
