I think the 'out of focus' snowdrops push the snowdrops in focus forward and adds a 3D feel to your painting, I like it.

I like the out of focus snowdrops too. It does give the painting more depth. You have a lovely gallery.

This one is better, and the other piece is good too.

I like the other one better (viewed large) isn't it antagonising when you do something you wish you hadn't! Could you wash them out a little so that they are even paler? NO NO leave them alone :-) x

I would be happy to produce either of these!

Thank you so much everybody - your comments are truly appreciated. So maybe I haven't done a fiddle too far (sorry James you were out-voted). That's a relief. Nobody said thay hated it, but then maybe people are too polite to comment if they think you've really lost the plot! How wonderful, though, when you can ask fellow respected artists for feedback and get an instant response. This really is a good site. Thanks for all your help and happy painting.

Hello Jacki, congratulations I like your floral painting

Mmmmm. Think I might have prefered this painting before I tried to add interest by putting the "out of focus" snowdrops in the background. That'll teach me. Copyright Jacki Stokes 2011
