Terrific. I still miss seeing Concorde fly over...I'm sure you could sell this, if you haven't already.

Agree with Suzanne. The thrust and sheer presence of this plane is tremendous and you have really done it justice.

What a wonderful painting of an iconic plane. My husband, Roger, worked on the first Concorde when he was doing his engineering apprenticeship at BAC in the early 60's, just before going to Imperial College to read aeronautics. He used to have to crawl down inside the wings and pack them with fibreglass material and his arms would be a mess for days afterwards. Brings back lots of memories.

My apologies for not responding earlier, I had problems logging in.The painting was sold but is in a Ltd edition print. In planning the work I wanted to get as much colour as possible into the aeroplane which is is all white thus the attitude which allowed me to get the nose logo, the fin and rudder 'flag' and the engines. The glow showes that reheat is in use. Not generally known is that this was employed only at take-off and, very briefly, at transition through Mach 1,the speed of sound. It was not used through the rest of the flight although it cruised at approx. Mach 2.2. Thus the painting shows Mach1 transition in a climbing turn!! That I'm afraid is artists license. Thea ,would that we had engineering apprenticeships now,I did mine at Faireys but much earlier. I trust Roger suffered no after effects from that fibreglass. Thank you all for the boost.
