Kingswear, Devon. Acrylic on Canvas 18"x14". Holiday again to the Southwest, and not much rain on this day, which came as a surprise for April this year was appalling! The painting was taken from a photograph as we didn't have much time in Dartmouth. I have reverted to acrylics for this one as I wanted a more instant product and the level of detail. I'm glad I did so as working with acrylics forces you to paint faster and not dwell on the painting as much as working with oils. However the actual paints I used were a mixture of various brands, and of various ages so I don't know how this will affect the painting in the long run, but for a 2-day job I'm quite happy with the result.
