I just point the camera and hope - obviously do all the obvious things, try to photograph it in daylight but not full sun, keep the camera at a respectful distance: lacking a tripod, a very good camera, and good eyesight, it's always a bit of pot luck so far as I'm concerned..... Like the painting and this format.

By the way, moving away from this view? Are you mad?

Oil on Box Canvas 24 x 10 (ish), Not too sure of the size!... Called the old view - as we are about to move house - this is the view from the back garden of one of Yorkshire's three peaks in all its glory one spring evening last year. The light was fantastic, and it's the sort of show we generally get late on in the evening late spring. I have to admit - taking photos of the paintings is a lot harder than actually painting them, they never turn out the way the painting looks... there must be an art to this - any tips would be welcome...
