Oil on Canvas 20" x 16". The children forging a path through the meadow, again one of those - is it or isn't it finished... I orginally asked the wife and her remark was have you finished it? Taken aback I asked why. The original had a sky -blue blob in the center of the far tree line, and to her it didn't look right. So I blocked this out and with some light green, smeared in the sunrays. I am more than pleased with this effect, and can only thank the wife for her critical assessment. The painting was on a crimson-tinted ground, which I think makes up for the lack of the red primary in the painting itself.
