Hi Ian, Love the way you have captiured the cold feeling of the snow. This is a lovely painting and I think your sheep are great.

A great watercolour ! It feels so cold and very atmospherique. Love it !

Ian, another lovely painting. The trees the sheep and the hoof prints, just great. Thanks for your comments regarding Cold Sunrise. I didn't find it easy painting with this medium as Acrylic. It was the drying time that got me. It takes too long. I tend to mix Acrylic on the canvas as I paint. Jeannette

I really like this - nice one

You gallery popped up in the 'specials', so I had a look. I really like this, especially those mid ground trees.

I love your snow scene .You must have a lot of patience !

Thanks for all your comments... This is my daughter's favourite, I had it framed and as soon as she saw it, it was "oh daddy you painted this for me, thank you..." I hadn't actually, but she talked me into it (she's only 2!).

What a fantastic painting. This takes me back to when the blizzards came in 1955/56 when I was a child living in Cold Kirby at the top of Sutton Bank, we were snowed in for weeks and spent days digging out sheep and lambs from the drifts who had tried to shelter at the foot of the stone walls.

Ian, I have just seen this painting, and I love it as much as your daughter does! She remind me of my daughter, she got the same approach when she wents a painting!

Nice works, have read some of your blog, I like the sky in the supertanker painting, also this one has a particularly nice atmosphere- snow sceme seems like your forte maybe? best wishes, colleen
