Although reading about other artists is very interesting Helen, sometimes you can read too much. I did that myself for years before trying to paint. It looks like you are doing very well with your paintings. You might keep changing your style as a lot of us do - time will tell.

Thankyou for such helpful and kind comments. You are all very encouraging! I enjoyed painting this and it is closer to my own doodling style than anything I've painted before, so perhaps that's why it works. But it's the fourth iteration so it took me a while to get there!
