- a little early! Pastel portrait of a hare. Was a bit labour intensive but hopefully worthwhile. Although seemly a simple colour pallet there were more there than at first glance. For the ears I started with a light gouache wash as the dark patches would have taken a lot of pastel but, then I went over it to accentuate the the hair/fur so, it only provided an undercoat area. When nearly complete I added areas of pastel pan to provide a softer look.
