Lovely hellebores. I know what you mean about backgrounds - I have just said the same thing in my posting. However I really like yours, it adds colour, depth and interest but doesn't distract the eye from the flowers. Having said that, you are the one that has to be happy with it!

I think you have the balance of subject and backround just right Heather, the one compliments the other. It will make a delightful Christmas card, I would be very pleased to receive it. Shall I supply my address nearer the timeLol!!

An attempt at doing a credible Christmas card - thought I had better start early! Loved the colours of this one although the markings proved a little difficult! Not happy with the background but didn't want to detract from the flower heads themselves and I have a tendency to 'fiddle' if I am not careful!
