Shouldn’t worry about ‘copying’ an artist you admire, from what you’ve said you’ve finished with your interpretation rather than an exact copy. It’s a fine piece of work.

We all struggle for new stuff William, no problem getting inspired by other artists and a great job done!

Beautiful painting !

Excellent work William.

Thank you guys I did not feel good putting this up and almost didn’t! But thanks to your kind words i don’t feel so bad but still don’t like doing it, Johns painting was quite a bit different as I added the 2 small trees and there was a lot of boats on the right and was totally looser than I portrayed plus the right tree is also very different. I’m going to shut up now before I dig myself a bigger hole!😂😉

A lovely delicate and clean painting.

Always so good

Thank as always Heather and thank you Carol I’m very grateful! 😁

A fine example of soft lighting from a limited palette.

I still recognised this as one of your paintings William. You have a wonderful way of laying washes, and your skies are a marvel.

Thank you David and of course Fiona, maybe I do have my own style 😄? 👍

Have to be honest this is done from one of John Hoars, paintings, just caught my eye but changed a few things like the boats and his is much looser than mine and better! Watercolour on Saunders rough. Don’t like copying but I come to a point where I struggle to find something?
