Such a wonderful painting William , great granulation in the sky, beautiful composition and I love the earthy palette

Another beautiful painting.

I really like your watercolours William

Nicely done indeed

Another lovely watercolour, William, very well painted.

A superb painting, very skilfully done.

Great painting William.

This caught my eye immediately. Such a beautiful nostalgic feel to it.

Impressive piece William, a lovely composition. I like the Wesson style sky, someone mentioned granulation which he never did, but I like the effect. Light red and ultramarine blue were Hilder’s favourite mix to achieve granulation, with some rocking of the drawing board to help separation.

Thank you so much for your great comments I thought it was ok but felt it could have been done a little looser, I tried too limit the colour palette to achieve some harmony, Alan that’s a good tip and never knew that about Roland Hilder? I take it from some of the work you do I can see some of his traits plus Turner also, I don’t know what other artists think but I find working with watercolours in pans of W/N seem to turn out better that tube paint but I’m sure someone will disagree. Thank you to everyone 👍👍

Another really good watercolour William.
