Well done William, a lovely painting of a happy little girl! The light is very good and I like the addition of the flowers. They add to the happy feel. A plain background here might have looked..um..a little plain! It really is lovely and she looks delightful ! In answer to your question, my daughter had a baby girl ! She's very cute! As to painting her, you might possibly remember that my portraits aren't terribly good! I'm trying to forget my last attempt :) Nice to see you back!

William, --- acrylic painted as oils is only using the paint thickly, the paint is then showing the brush marks. hope this helps -- Chas

You have captured some lovely light on this painting William.....your granddaughter looks so pretty. Looking at your other work in this folder, you have such a great feeling for people and faces. The young girl in the waves is exceptional........jealous too, like Mia!

There is so much in this painting that I admire, William - the soft texture of the cardigan and the hair, the light and, of course, the wonderful skin tones. Well done!
