Another of your unique portraits. Very strong and a fantastic use of colour.

Characterful face Gudrun, unusual colour palette.

In another age this would have been a real hit! I love the bold expressionism and freedom of brush and colour...very well done!

Thank you all for your appreciation. I am really enjoying myself. Roger, you may be right, but I don't worry about trends. Art is the thing, if that doesn't sound too arty ....

Good expressive portrait, Gudrun.

Powerful interpretation Gudrun.

Dramatic - like it!

Excellent...so strong and full of character. Brilliant, Gudrun!

Lovely bold and dramatic work Gudrun. Excellent

Thank you. I like my portraits to convey something. All your adjectives fit the person so that is pleasing. Another experiment tomorrow, unless we get washed away!?

Great, strong effect Gudrun.

Fantastic use of colour Gudrun, great portrait.

Some more thanks for your appreciation of my efforts.

30x40cm oil on linen canvas. The photograph does convey some of the warmth of colours, but not quite the more subtle depth created. Torrential rain clouds does nothing for light. It's awful. However, I am pleased at how my recycling of canvas has worked. Obviously the colours already there influenced subsequent choices. Still not convinced about the painting medium as I like to see brush strokes.
