snow on the cairngorms Speyside

This is really beautiful. Your rendering of the snow is superb, and it's too appealing a scene to look bleak! I particularly like the flash of the red door that immediately draws the viewer's attention to the center of interest.

This caught my eye straight away as a wonderful depiction of a snowy scene. I like your composition in that the road goes downhill and leads you very neatly into the body of the painting and that red door which is astroke of genius! Everything else beautifully supports the painting from the misty grey trees to the subtle colours in the stone wall. Nice work!

Thank you Seok Yam, Denise and Thea taking the time to view and comment on this watercolour, and gald you all like it. The red door is almost becoming a signature of my paintings if you look view some of the others there is generally ba red door somewhere if I have buildings within the painting .

This is a great move, Graham. My husband is a photographer and he always searches for that tiny bit of red in many of his landscape photos - makes all the difference.
