Brilliantly observed from the wet rocks to the foaming pools. You have captured the light and movement beautifully.

Wonderful colours in the water which as Lesley says is so well observed. I love the rocks and the markings on them.

Thanks very much Lesley and Carole.....by the way I love both your galleries....fantastic water Lesley and love your flowers Carole.

You more than did the scene justice. It is beautifuly done - I love the glow of the sea and the movement of the waves, which you convey so very well.

The rocks are excellent - you could almost slip on them they look so realistic. The water is fabulous, I love the way you have captured the weight and power of that wave.

Having tried it recently in acrylic - which isn't perfectly suited to painting water - I know that painting the sea is very far from being the straightforward procedure the observer might think it. You HAVE done it justice here - indeed, the late E John Robinson would be proud of you (if I could paint the sea as he could, I'd die a happy man).

Graham this is fantastic work.

You have indeed done it justice, an excellent painting and as everyone else has already said, so very well observed.

I agree with everyone, fantastic painting Graham

Wonderful painting! As an acrylic painter I struggle to get water as good as this, I really must try oils!

Lovely painting Graham, you have the wave perfect and the foam, the very dark contrast of the rocks against the spray. Beautiful - you have certainly done it justice.

The translucency of the water made me think this was a watercolour. I have never looked a a painting in such anticipation of a wave crashing against the rocks before. It is just there but of course it is not reality, it does not happen but I go back looking at it over and over again just for that feeeling of anticipation.... They say a good painting should stir an emotion or reaction. I can only conclude this is a very good painting.

I was inspired by the translucent wave and the wet rocks. Hope I did it justice!
