Looks superb, Gina!!

A lovely loose watercolour.

Definitely loose Gina and very much in the style of Michael Edwards on POL.

Thankyou so much for all your great comments-much appreciated.I looked up Michael Edwards Frank & I see what you mean-thankyou for the compliment!

Even without your name on it I would have known you painted this one. Congratulations another winner.

Absolutely lovely!

Absolutely charming painting

Lovely watercolour painting, Gina

Lovely watercolour - captures the scene beautifully

A nice loose feel here Gina, with just enough detail in the mill for contrast. Depending on the type of paper used, you could perhaps lift out the chimney reflection and move it a little to the right? I often have to do that!

Thankyou Richard -pleased you recognised my style ! Thanks to everyone else who commented & I might try Stephen's idea of moving the chimney to the right! (might! ?)

On Bockinford paper it is usually fairly easy to wash out areas, however rag paper isn’t so obliging!

Iv'e been experimenting after reading Valerie Pirlow's latest article in the Leisure Painter.T o get your work looking looser & more abstract she suggests big brushes.I used a no 10 sable on this w/c & it was from an oil painting I did last year.It does'nt look particularly abstract but it is looser than I would normally do.
