Very eyecatching and 'different' and what a good cause. Well done Gilly. angi

Thank you for your appreciation Angi.

This is another lovely piece, so full of character. And indeed, a wonderful cause.

Fabulous portrait. Hope it does well in the auction.

A great portrait. Imaginative and cleverly executed.

Thanks again. Do you know how I would look into the galleries of those who have been kind enough to comment on my work? I cant seem to find a route.

This is another stunning piece Gilly. I like all your paintings, you have a great portfolio. The only way I know to look into another galleries is on Google, by typing the name of the artist followed by "painter online"( I am sure there is another way!)

This is a great piece, and I like your story....

click on gallery gilly, scroll down to the bottom and you will see the link for user galleries; just type the name in....hope that helps! angi

This portrait is painted onto a postcard for an art charity auction supporting vulnerable adults and teenagers in Edinburgh. Rory is from Ayrshire and is in a similar vulnerable position to those connected to the charity. I met Rory whilst working once a week as an arts tutor in a local church who open their doors to vulnerable members of the community in the homeless system, offering a free lunch, help and advice from a variety of service providers, while they mingle with friends and peers in a similar circumstance. The image reflects his very colourful character whilst highlighting his connection to the church with its suggestion of stained glass surrounding his profile.
