A beautiful subtlety in the colours you have used, George. The Lavender shade is just right, rich but gentle, and a lovely harmony with the grass colour. A gorgeous painting.

Thanks everyone for your comments. The comparison to pastel is interesting, when I began using pastel in 1982 I decided that I would apply the pastel in single strokes as I would Oils etc. so I very seldom blended them with anything other than more pastel, letting one colour show through another and the finished paintings did look very much like some of my Acrylics and Oils.
