It's a beautiful composition George.

A lovely scene George!

What a super painting George, well done.

Beautiful greens - I love your trees! May I ask what colours you mix for your greens?

Thank you all for your kind remarks. I will try to answer Geraldine's question about the Greens I use in my landscapes but they are not really consistent nor written in stone. I use mostly W&N Artists acrylics and the basic greens are as follows. The darks are Raw Umber and any one of several blues, usually Ultramarine adjusted with Black or other blues and sometimes any warm colours to suit the situation. The lights are Lemon yellow and black adjusted with either of the following , yellows/ orange/ blue /red sometimes mixed with Titanium White. The furthest trees in this painting were painted using the same mixes but then glazed over with Ultramarine when dry. The grass is one of the light greens detailed then over painted in places with reddish browns etc. Hope this helps Geraldine. Regards George.

I had been admiring these George superb

George, thank you so much for taking the trouble to explain about your greens! They can be so difficult to get right sometimes, but you manage them so well. I only got back to checking for your answer this morning as I have been busy with an exhibition. Thanks again!

I wish I could paint in acrylics like this, George. Your whole gallery is superb.
