Fantastic George! I knew you would create something marvellous. Love it. What do you think to the charcoal?

Wonderful, George!

Nice George experimenting is fun and with little or no reference sometimes can bring good results . The more you do it gradually it gets easier as you build your knowledge , it's hard to start with , it's easier if you use procreate or Photoshop it's quicker and you don't waste paint then if you like one you can paint it oil or whatever . That's what David Sharpe does and he's doing very well selling his art and teaching .

Atmospheric experimenting George.

Very atmospheric George. Looks like our weather in Peak District these days

It’s a excellent piece George , always with experimenting as you learn so much and get some great results . I think your more relaxed and let things develop into something rather than forcing it.

A very atmospheric experiment!

Thank you all very much. It's been interesting to do. I bought the small set of Schminke Liquid charcoals and this was grape seed black. I will post the other two I have done using the two other charcoals that make up the set. I admit to be just following in the footsteps of Fiona who's work with this medium impressed me very much.

Fiona, thank you very much for commenting on this posting, I have used all three charcoals from this Schminke set now and I'm impressed. I have used charcoal a lot in the past but I find I can do more with this liquid kind than than I can with the solid sticks and powder. I found the Cherry Pit charcoal had a brownish hint to it Which I found strange at first, but have got used to it and quite like it . I haven't combined anything with the charcoals as yet but will try adding watercolour at some stage. Which make did you use? Thanks for the introduction .

This has lots of atmosphere.

I think both are really good !

Thank you very much Bobbie and Valerie.

Interesting, George, very atmospheric.
