I've always found poppies in a landscape very difficult to paint - this may be daft, but I like painting the English landscape, and the brilliant red can seem alien to it; the trick I think is to carefully manage their number, or you end up with something looking like the field of a very bloody battle. You've got it right - and that's excellent work with the trees and foliage.
