Really lovely and a typical view of a heron - they usually spot me before i spot them and fly off!

Thank You all very much. Tessa I should have mentioned that I painted it from a photograph taken recently by my Edinburgh friend John Forbes. I think it was somewhere near Rosyth.

A lovely painting George. We have quite a few herons on the river in front of our house. They look quite prehistoric when in flight.
