love these beach stone scenes Gary, and especially love that have done them in derwent inktense coloured pencils, which i also used in my pastel portrait of Kate Middleton for her hair, and thanks a bunch for your support in this evenings comments stir on that portrait, great words of support thanks again. p.s. what is Graphitint?

Hi Gary, thanks so much for your lovely comment on my latest pastel dog portrait the Alsatian, glad you like it! The ears are quite eyecatching on the breed aren't they! I am stuck in something of a pastel pet portrait rut at the moment but enjoying it enormously, each different type of dog or cat is great fun and it is always good to get feedback on them as well so thanks again, I chose this painting to put my reply on because I am currently loving inktense and in my case aqua tone pencils and I see you used the inktense here, it really does add some depth of colour doesn't it and works well with pastel drawings as well, anyway bye for now, before I ramble on too much

Derwent Inktense and Graphitint on Derwent smooth watercolour paper, A5. My art class challenge was to do beah stones in watercolour using salt, cling film and wax to get texture. I have used all of those tequnies here together with Graphitint pencils to add further depth.
