I tried painting one of these a while ago, and found it the most difficult thing I've ever attempted - blowed if I know why even now. So if you had anything like the trouble I did, you've done really well. I like the attitude of the bird.

I love this little bird..his attitude and pose are so typical of his species...little bundle of fur on skinny legs!!! And cheeky with it!

Pastel on A4 Ingres paper. OK so its a cliche but it was only 2 weeks to Christmas when I painted this little chap. This was challenge for me as it is the first time I have attempted a bird in pastel. Great fun, I'll have do it again but maybe on A3 next time!
