It is putting your painting in a different mood with a digital software. Now which one do your prefer, the original or the modified version. Once I did just that and I did not like the original any more. So I destroyed it and redone it the way I had transformed it on the computer !

I was actually walking with my dogs on West Runton beach about two hours ago! I have to say I don't recognise it from your painting. Is it from the top of the cliff or down on the beach - I don't recall their being any fence. Anyway, as it is art it really doesn't matter - I particularly like your sky colours - very clever to do this on a computer.

Thanks for your comments Thea and Beatrice. The location Thea, is down on the beach, about level with Beetson Regis campsite and the fence there as it is most of the way to Sherringham. If you were on the beach at the Cromer end you will have missed both fence and rock. I prefer the original version of this painting but it has given me ideas for more 'real' pictures.

I prefer the original version too but this looks like a good technique for colour planning perhaps - and I have a few I would like to try this mayabe at the planning stage - thanks for posting it

This is a computer generated montage using the foreground from 'West Runton Beach' and the sky from 'The Old Jetty'. I have done this is photoshop using the techniques described in the October and November isues of Leisure Painter. Is it art, is it cheating or is it just good fun????
