Berlin by Garry Fry

It’s not at all what I paint but I like it very much. I like the sparse colours and clean lines ( no Achilles’ heel here). I’ve been to Berlin and this does convey the modern architecture there.

It works and works very well , definitely a challenging piece.

I like the variation of squares and oblongs you have used in this painting and tied them altogether to form a coherent composition.

You've met your nemesis head on and won Garry!

Super detail, clean straight lines, great picture.

A competition piece if ever I saw one, something a bit different with great architectural details…

It works very well without a curve in sight Garry.

Such an interesting composition and yes it does work as a painting.

I like it a lot. Well done.

Like this a lot - style and subject.

It definitely does, really nicely done indeed

Clever. Sparse. Just enough to make it interesting. I like the light shift top to bottom most.

Straight lines are my Achilles heel even worse on canvas so what do I do, paint a building with windows full of straight lines on canvas. This is painted from a reference photo I took in Berlin last year this, does it work as a painting, I kind of feel it does.
