Moody day on Ullswater
This image was inspired by a walk on Askham fell above Pooley Bridge. This is one of our favourite walks and I have painted this scene before and will many times I imagine . The day was pretty dark and moody but every now and again gaps appeared and Jacobs Ladders, shafts of sunlight would stab down to illuminate the fells below. Even on the darkest day Ullswater never lets you down
