This mixture of palette knife and brush depicts walking in Coombes Wood, a public forestry reserve at Armathwaite a few miles from my village, and one where we walk on a regular basis. A low autumn sun seemed to be highlighting and emphasising every fallen leaf as well as casting long shadows.
