Beautiful painting of a lovely scene, Fran. I like the colours and the reflections.

Thank you Cesare - I love painting lakes & rivers - their quiet tranquillity is so appealing.

I could just do with a day out here Fran. Beautiful.

Thank you for your lovely comments - it is a rather beautiful spot Adele & Margaret. I am lucky to have it so close to home.

What a superb painting - wonderful composition Fran

Beautiful colours Fran, very harmonious - it looks as though it might be just beyond Maureen's meadow ( see Tulips in Howick Garden )

Thanks Lynne and Marjorie - I took a look at Maureen's meadow Marjorie and I can see what you mean :)

Marjorie Firth pointed me in the direction of your site and I have to say I really love your work. I struggle painting outdoors but continue practicing. It's all grist to the mill!!! I so admire those who really manage to capture the moment as you do!

Hi Maureen, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I have looked at your work too - you are producing some fabulous pieces (I particularly loved the apples in the plastic bag on your website - terrific piece!). I love painting out on location but I do envy those who can find inspiration to paint inside using photos or imagination. We all have our strengths and weaknesses - every time I go out to paint I learn something new - even if it is "don't ever do that again!!".

A lovely, atmospheric piece. Love the brushwork and the palette.

Beautiful composition, Fran.

Super picture.
