This is really good, like it a lot Frank

This is lovely, Frank - our pond looks much the same!

I do like the style of this, the gouache works well.

Love your great sense of design here Frank.

I like the harmony of shapes and the variation in the colours of the leaves.

Terrific.

Love the shapes of the Lily leaves and duckweed together Frank, would make a wonderful reduction print? It’s lovely.

The style really suits the image. Captivating piece. My pond has a similar look!

Excellent Frank!

Thank you very much for commenting everyone, this was really fun to do, though the duckweed did become a little tedious towards the end! Yes Fiona, it would make a good print and probably more defined, it oh that duckweed would try my patience, but maybe . . . ?

Great colours, particularly how the inclusion of red makes the leaves really sing 😀

A really excellent piece of art Frank.

Love the style (and the duckweed!)

Great use of gouache, that flat colour really works well.

Gosh this is very effective, your colours are spot on, and those little dots of weed in between are a joy. I have some lovely photographs I took this year of lilies in a pond so this has really inspired me to have a go myself, thank you! :D

Beautiful water lilies!(I'm sure the pond is full of frogs...)

A friend of mine has the most lovely house and garden and I was lucky enough to stay there for a while, back in our shortest of Summers. Her pond was almost covered with these water lilies (and of course duckweed). Gouache on Bockingford watercolour paper 21x21cm
