At size A3, this is by far the biggest wax pastel work that I have ever done. I started with a charcoal pencil drawing on grey paper, then working in the pastels hard and precise, sharpening the wax pastels with a large holed pencil sharpener for the detail. I've accentuated the contrast and colours to give the work more vibrancy and think it sort of works. Neocolor 1 on Claire Fontaine Gris paper.
