Stunning, what an interesting painting to look at.

What a lot of detail, it feel so busy there is a lot of skill in this painting. It could be easy to overcrowded, it but it not it’s all so good it hard to pick any individual bit that stand out.

This is quite something Frank. The clarity of lighting and detail are so refreshing and the lively figures fill this painting with energy and movement. The traffic is painted with such precision and I love everything about this work.

At size A3, this is by far the biggest wax pastel work that I have ever done. I started with a charcoal pencil drawing on grey paper, then working in the pastels hard and precise, sharpening the wax pastels with a large holed pencil sharpener for the detail. I've accentuated the contrast and colours to give the work more vibrancy and think it sort of works. Neocolor 1 on Claire Fontaine Gris paper.
