Super sketch. I am a great fan of only painting certain parts of this type of work as it draws the eye to the important bits very effectively. It works especially well in this one.

lots of themes here..best viewed blown up big...the monochrome colours with just hints of the old and his scarf...sadness, the war, memories, the past gone by...hope you enjoy this, it's has taken a while to finish this one, kept putting it down.
