Among the palms

Very nice painting...Just a suggestion, I think I personally would crop a little from the bottom, for more impact? (Hope you don't mind my suggestion.) As it is now, your interest is in a strip across the centre.

Ruth, I appreciate your suggestion and can see that would improve the picture. It's always helpful to see things in a different light. I think I was wanting to show somehow the mightiness of the Nile, but I agree the balance of the4 composition could be improved - I'll take this into account when I get round to doing a larger painting when I get home.
