Very nice painting Jane, at first glance I thought it was a watercolour, you have blended the sky very well. Nice, bright colours too. I must try a square fomat sometime, it gives the appearance of being a portrait shape, as verticals always appear longer, if you know what I mean?

Beautiful sky Jane - and looking at the rest of your portfolio it seems you have a flair for lovely skies.

Stephen, this actually doesn't look like a square although the canvas is. I had difficulty photographing it so had to crop the kitchen floor out before posting it! Perhaps that's what makes it look rectangular, or perhaps that's just the format on this website? Who knows.... but do try a square format - has a very different feel from an obviously rectangular one - look forward to seeing your work and thanks for the comment.

As already said....great sky Jane!!!

Yes I agree a beautiful sky and a nice portfolio, which I seem to have overlooked. I always think paintings look better square. I just can't paint on a rectangular canvas it never seems to look right, I even crop my photos square!. Maybe its my eyes!

Beautiful painting Jane, love the sky

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Fiona, Kevin and Petra. Much appreciated.

Another wonderful addition to your gallery, Jane. Super atmosphere and light, and lovely colors. It's simply beautiful.

Jane, Jane - you've done it again. Super composition - great sky - what more can I say?

Many thanks Seok, and Michael .... not only do you have artistic abilities but you're a poet too! Thanks for you comment - it made me smile!

Thanks Jane for the kind comments about my 'mill'. I'm not on here as often as I used to be, so have missed your beautiful paintings. Love your skies...such a super gallery. Well done.

12" x 12" The view from a small pebbly beach a few minutes from our home, looking down Kenmare Bay towards the Atlantic; the skies change by the minute and this was late afternoon on a gentle day before the recent gales.
