Winter’s night

A lovely effective winter painting!!

Lovely feeling of winter and magicalness (I know there's not such a word but it fits the painting)

Very atmospheric, Carole. Love it.

Instantly recognisable as one of yours, it's absolutely lovely. Lovely effects Carole.

The texture of the paper plays a good part - a frosty- like effect. Like the brown peeping through, too, Carole.

Excellent love the effect from the paper texture .

Lovely winter night. Looks like a tint of gold dust at the top. Lovely painting

Thanks all. Bit of cling film used and yes Faye I used a Schmincke gold.

Fantastic effects.

Great I do love a gold touch. There is some gold sprinkles you can get from (The Range)

Thanks Stephen. Thanks Faye I will look for that, I love a bit of sparkle too.

A winter wonderland, beautiful.

So effective Carol, love that touch of bling.

Lovely watercolour Carole.

Thanks again for your kind comments. Michael just plonk a piece onto wet paint and let dry then remove the film. You can always paint into the shapes to emphasise if you wish.

Just to add, you can re use cling film, I wipe it over and use again, you also get a good result from using creased up grease proof paper!

So atmospheric, lovely effects

Beautiful. Almost a Halloween feel

Beautiful. Almost a Halloween feel to it

Thanks very much Romila, Candy and Thalia.

Very effective, Carole, lovely touch of gold with the monochrome. (I’ve got some watercolour ground but haven’t used it yet, must give it a go.)

I can hear the distant call of an owl…..stunning.

Wonderful tonal work, with great atmosphere. Beautifully painted, Carole!

Love your recent paintings which are so ethereal and beautifully harmonious.
